On the publishing front, here’s the first Buckaroo blurb in:
“If Kurt Vonnegut teamed up with J.D. Salinger to write a teaser for Six Feet Under and The Coen Brothers filmed it, you’d have a sense of the gorgeous, off-beat, poetic, deep, astonishingly hilarious, intimate, touching family of characters that Tracy DeBrincat has created in Hollywood Buckaroo. It is rare that a writer with such a flagrant original voice is at the same time so solid and accessible. You will find yourself clutching this book tightly to your body.”
— Hal Ackerman, UCLA Screenwriting Co-Chair
I love this blurb; it makes me want to read my own book…again! Thanks Hal, for your patience and honesty.
I also heartily and sincerely recommend Hal’s hilarious book, Stein, Stoned, and, if you’re in New York November 20, his one-man play, Prick. If I were cool and/or techno-savvy, I could link you to his Facebook page with info about the play (previous incarnation: Testerone: How Prostate Cancer Made a Man Out of Me), but I’m not. If you’re interested, you can look it up yourself. I only have so much patience with this stuff..
